About a lonely chandelier in the interior
It so happened that the traditional lighting in our homes is a lonely chandelier in the middle of the ceiling, the purchase of which is postponed until the very end of the repair, when, as a final touch, it is necessary to replace Ilyich's light bulb sticking out of the ceiling with something beautiful.
Let's break down these two fatal lighting errors and why they are:
1. A lone chandelier in the middle of the ceiling, even a bright one with many bulbs, is not able to illuminate the entire space evenly. It turns out that in the center of the room and in the corners the amount of light will be significantly different. This is fraught with the fact that various decorative elements on the walls will look inexpressive, the textures of finishes, textiles and other materials will be blurry. All this greatly spoils the overall visual impression of the interior, in which a lot of effort and money has been invested.
2. Another disadvantage of a lonely chandelier is that the brightest light from it will be concentrated in the middle of the room, and not where it is really needed.
3. From the point of view of economy - also a moot point. To make the light bright, you need a chandelier with a lot of horns. Such chandeliers are expensive in themselves, we add to this the cost of numerous light bulbs, we take into account that they will constantly have to be changed.
4. In addition, large chandeliers are large in size, which is also rather a minus in the reality of our apartments with not the highest ceilings.
5. Attitude towards lighting at home according to the residual principle is fraught with the fact that neither full-fledged correct lighting that takes into account the needs of the owners, nor well-thought-out lighting scenarios will come out. After all, in order to get all this, the lighting needs to be thought out even at the stage of repair planning - then all the conclusions, sockets and switches will be where they are needed and in sufficient quantity.
The importance of lighting in the house is often underestimated, and it depends on it whether carefully selected curtains, paintings and wall colors will look good or not. But most importantly, light also affects our health, mood and general well-being, which is why it is so important to plan and install it correctly.
