Is LED lighting expensive?
One of the reasons why people refuse to install good LED lighting throughout the house is the cost of this LED equipment. But is LED lighting really that expensive? Let's count.
Let's take a Lumita Alrami LED waterproof lamp with a power of 7 W (2900 rubles), a 60 W incandescent lamp equivalent to it in terms of luminous flux (42 rubles) and a standard 7 W LED bulb from a well-known manufacturer (245 rubles). The Lumita Alrami LED lamp will work without loss of brightness for at least 30,000 hours, the incandescent lamp has 1000 hours of operation, the LED bulb has 8000 hours. Let's say that on average the light is on in the house for 5 hours a day. It turns out:
• LED lamp. 30,000 hours: 5 hours: 365 days = 16.4 years, i.e. a lamp bought once will serve you for more than 16 years. Divide the cost of the lamp (2900 rubles) by 16.4 years = 176.8 rubles. Only about 177 rubles. per year will cost you an LED lamp.
• Incandescent lamp 1000 h:5h:365 days = 0.54 years, i.e. an incandescent bulb will last you a little more than six months, for a year you will have to change at least 2 bulbs and spend 42 rubles * 2 = 84 rubles.
• Energy saving LED bulb. If you search very hard on the manufacturer's website, you can see in small print that the declared life of the light bulb is 8000 hours, which is 8000 hours: 5 hours: 365 days = 4.4 years. However, judging by the numerous reviews, such bulbs burn out in a year, exactly after the end of the warranty from the manufacturer. That is, in fact, such a light bulb will cost 245 rubles a year.
Conclusions:
• The cost of an LED lamp for a year of operation is less than the cost of an LED light bulb. You buy a lamp once and for many years, but a light bulb comes out more expensive, its light quality is worse, it needs to be constantly changed.
• The cost of an incandescent lamp per year is more than 2 times less than the LED lamp, but the LED lamp consumes 10! times less electricity, which means the bills will be 10 times less.
As you can see, the light from LED lamps is not only the right light and a stylish, modern appearance, it is also a great benefit.
