Lighting in the bedroom
The bedroom is one of the main places in the house, where in modern realities we often not only sleep and relax, but also work, study, read, and spend time with loved ones. It is very important to think over all the options for using the bedroom at the stage of renovation planning and provide for each of them your own lighting scenario.
As a rule, several levels of light are installed in the bedroom - the upper one (built-in lamps, chandeliers), the middle one (sconces, floor lamps, pendant lamps and bedside lamps), the lower one (spotlights built into the lower part of the wall or floor).
Let's look at a few recommendations, following which you can organize the right light in your bedroom:
1. It is not recommended to use only one chandelier for the main lighting in the bedroom (and in other rooms too). it will not be able to provide uniform light and will make the ceiling visually lower.
2. The main purpose of the bedroom is sleep and rest, so that they are complete, choose a light with a warm color temperature of 2700K-3000K. Such light relaxes, does not block the production of melatonin, so you will have a great rest and sleep.
3. Make sure that all light sources have the same color temperature. If the main lighting is cold, the floor lamp is warm, and the bedside sconces are neutral, when turned on at the same time, a light vinaigrette will turn out, which will noticeably spoil the perception of the interior.
4. If you need to equip a workplace in the bedroom, provide a table lamp to illuminate it - it will be better for your eyes and for the restful sleep of other family members if they also sleep in this room.
5. For reading and at the same time creating a cozy atmosphere in the bedroom, pendant lamps are perfect - a modern solution for stylish bedrooms.
6. It is important not to forget to provide appropriate switches for all light scenarios - at the door for the main lighting, by the bed for pendant or wall lamps, additional sockets or switches in the work area or dressing table area, if any, etc.
Proper lighting in the bedroom is an important component of a good rest. Plan it carefully, and then the bedroom will become your main place for recuperation and sound sleep.
